October 13 history of the BandThere is no history..............
Well there is! Christian Paynter- (beer monster Chris) Guitar/vocals,British born in spain, runs family recreation business in Benidorm, involved in local bands since forever, projects include: mindflux, Atticka, Da Boogie Cookies, Jukebox, Full-circle, watch m&m and D-PROYECT. 29 yrs old. Vesilin Alexiev(Vesso)- Drums/percussion, Bulgarian national, has lived in Spain 6 yrs, Owns a custom aerograph studio(VESSO-ART) in Benidorm specializing in custom motorcycles, his passion is of course art closely followed by brutal drum murder. He has been present on the local music scene for 4 yrs- yet as we all know, good people are hard to find.31 yrs old. Bob sieverding (Bobistar) Bass guitar/backing vocals/showman, Dutch national, has lived in spain 16 yrs, currently employed at Power print In Benidorm, he has owned his own phone shop business, jack of many trades. Bob has been involved in the music scene for years, playing bass for local bands such as Mindflux, Watch m&m, Atticka and D-PROYECT. 30 yrs old. D-proyect was formed at the beginning of 2005 in Benidorm when Chris started jamming with Bob trying to restart Bobs playing after an absence of about 5 years, Chris had recently terminated relations with previous bands so they both decided to attempt to start a new outfit. The search began for a drummer, concluding shortly after with a fortunate chance meeting in The Home Of Blues(Benidorm) between Chris and Vesso, a jam was arranged- after that jam D-Proyect was born.Almost 3 years have passed since then and the band continues its sometimes relentless gigging and writing of original material, many have been involved in the project including vocalists (Sandra Rodriguez) and up until recently lead guitarist Fernando Granja who decided,with the band, to part ways amiably due to musical differences, he is currently working on putting together a new hardcore outfit in the area. (good luck brother) So D-proyect again returns to its origins - a trio Chris/Bob/Vesso who continue gigging and shortly will begin recording their Demo cd. Be advised-the noise continues... One of the high points for the band within the last year was securing a third place in the Benidorm Pop-Rock competition...very cool indeed...although we tend to play outside our home town of Benidorm its always great to play at home....we get the same money, and usually more beer -which keeps Chris happy happy!!!! The majority of our set is original material but we love to include a few of our favourite cover tracks..why? cause we can!!!dammit Our influences are Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Nirvana, Linkin park, Incubus, Beasty Boys, infectious grooves, anthrax...well, anything good really...from frank sinatra to metallica and beyond, and all thats in between. We try to incorporate as many styles and genres into our music, from funk to jazz, from ballads to full blown- bone crushing- head splitting- metal riffs, its all tasty cakes baby.We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who supports, and puts up with us, from family to girlfriends(groupies and roadies all in one-Bless you)and everyone who has come to our gigs and cheered us and our music on and on, to you ALL a sincere THANK YOU from D-proyect You are why we keep going and why we love playing so much. Thanks go also to Luis from Express-magazine who has been a massive help above and beyond the call of duty, thanks for the spots LOCO!!! To our sound tech Miran the man,(Motocross) no-one could make us sound so good-vaya tela- Many thanx dog.Finally to all those at Power-print for the great shirts, and other merchandise, a great team-a great product-many thanx. Bueno ahora en Español pa los fans del poble. La verdad es q no hay nada q contar..... bueno, algo hay......... Chris- Guitarra/voz. Britanico nacido en España, gerente de una empresa recreativa en Benidorm, ha estado presente en la escena musical para unos 15 años tocando en grupos locales como: Mindflux, Atticka, Full-circle, Jukebox, Watch m&m, Da Boogie Cookies y D-proyect. 29 años. Vesso- Bateria/percussion. Nationalidad Bulgara, ha vivido en España unos 6 años, LLeva a cabo su empresa de custom aerographia(VESSO-ART) en Benidorm, especializando en diseño graphico y pintura custom para motos. Ha estado presente en le escena musical local unos 4 años, su estilo es preciso, brutal y timpano-rompiente. 31 años. Bobistar- Bajo/segunda voz. Nationalidad Holandes (holland power) ha vivido en España unos 16 años y trabaja para Power print en Benidorm, previamente llevaba una tiena de moviles, Habla unos cinco lenguas (Cabron) y ha estabo presente musicalmente unos 14 años tocando con Chris en bandas locales como: Minflux, Atticka, Watch m&m y D-Proyect. 30 años. Historial de la banda: D-proyect se formo a los principios del 2005 cuando Bob(bajo/voz) y Chris(guitarra/voz) empezaron a tocar juntos en plan coña, con poco tiempo vimos q podria salir algo guapo asi q decidimos tomar la iniciativa y buscar un batera. Al poco rato Chris conocio por casualidad a Vesso en el home of blues-benidorm, y charlando de la musica le invito a hacer un jam, aver q sale. Despues de 5 minutos tocando BLAM!-nacio D-proyect. Ya tres años despues seguimos con nuestra marcha tocando todos los bolos q podemos y componiendo nuevos temas, tocamos donde sea...desde Javea a Denia, Polop a albir,Benidorm a Calpe....a nuestra bola nen, y aun ni hemos empezado!! Durante el pasado año D-proyect ha contado con guitarista Fernando GRANJA quien trajo al grupo una nueva energia y desarollo musical, pero desafortunadamente hace unas semanas decidio, tanto el, como el grupo, en amistosamente cortar relaciones debido a diferencias musicales, ahora trabaja en crear una nueva banda harcdore en la zona-de nosotros a ti brother- lo mejor de la suerte..yeah baby...rock n roll!!!! Entre los bolos guapisimos q ha realizado D-proyect : bares, fiestas de moteros, open-air, skate-parks,blah blah..uno de los mas destacados fue en el concurso de Pop-Rock Benidorm donde terminamos en tercera posicion-un placer y un honor- normalmente tocamos fuera de Benidorm pero siempre es un placer tocar en nuestro pueblo, total la pasta es la misma pero nos dan mas birra asi q chris esta contento...chupi chupi!!!!!!!burp... La mayoria de nuestro set es material original- metal alternativo con toques de rock, funk, Jazz y Blues- aunque nos encanta incorporar versiones al set que nos inspiraron. Que son nuestras influencias? bueno casi todo realmente, desde Frank Sinatra a Metallica y mas alla, y todo entre medio...intentamos mantener la mente abierta a todo tipo de musica, funk, jazz, balladas,rock-metal-rap......tot es bo!!! Como ultimo queremos dar las gracias y un abrazo a to la peña que nos apoya y aguanta, todos los que habies venido a los conciertos- sois lo mejor hostia!! nuestras familias y novias(groupies y roadies-un beso guapas) Luis de Express-Magazine, eres la leche tio, muchas gracias y un beso con lengua loco!
